……..On the voyage you will experience the jewel in the crown that is the (4 Star) Garryvoe Hotel in Ballycotton bay, lapping the waves of the ocean, the hostelry boasts scenic ocean views, seafood to die for and local mermaids delighted to look after you. When we fill the 80 rooms, or cabins in the Garryvoe hotel, we have excellent overflow facilities, with shuttle service to The Bay View Hotel (also 4 Star) in Ballycotton, just 10 minutes away along the bay, dotted around the area are many friendly guest house with bunks and hammocks…, self catering units and other hotels see links (some having special rates for conference week end).
Cork City is on the south coast of Ireland, we are well used to receiving and entertaining guests. Only last year we entertained her majesty the Queen……. Modern airport on top of the hill and with the tides and the currents going right for you, you’ll park in Garryvoe in 25 min, in the large carpark which is free of charge.
Or you could park the craft at the island and swim in!
The Garryvoe Hotel has been home to the Talking Heads Toastmaster club for 22 years and has developed into a magnificent, family run, 4 star hotel & Health club, and we want you all to come, to discover this Hidden Treasure.
You can anchor yourself inside with all the other toastmasters who have taken over the hotel—-Nobody else is allowed on board for the weekend. Our hotel is compact with all workshop, meetings and competition venues close together. When all the business is done-and you’re ship wrecked- come with us to the bar for ceol, caint agus craic (Fun, Fun Fun!!!!)
Our sea shanties will begin late and end even later to welcome the dawn chorus perhaps. Song words are being prepared so there will be no excuses… we have ways of making you sing!!!!
